Products Attributes
- 430 Stainless is a low-carbon ferritic straight chrome grade, which makes it very magnetic.
- Grade 430 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments and good resistance to oxidation at elevated temperatures.
- Grade 430 stainless resists oxidation in intermittent service up to 870°C and to 815°C in continuous service.
- Easier to machine than the standard austenitic grades such as 304.
- 430 Stainless steel can be weld well by all types of welding processes (except gas welding)
- 430 steel is easily deformed and worked.
- Cold forming with low amount of deformation is easily feasible above room temperature
- 430 is a simple corrosion and heat-resisting grade and finds application in areas where mildly corrosive conditions occur or where scaling resistance at moderate temperatures is required.
